I have alba and is different. This is pink and will develop into light pink as it matures.

I have never been able to keep this one alive, wish I could cause I really like this species. Just might have to try once more, I will check at the next orchid show in 2 weeks I am sure I will find them there.

Lucky you Sriram this is another great Dendrobium blooming week for you!

Sure you will succeed with species Jack. It likes bright light (not direct) and does not like its roots to be disturbed at all. Keep it in the same pot it comes (unless media is broken) and water and fertilize regularly. Quickly grows into a good specimen. I like this species just for the long lasting flowers and I recently got the alba and purple forms of this species.

I had a pink and white one several years ago that I lost, I then tried another one this time last year, I will say I might have done more damage to the roots then I should have but I lost that one also. I give an orchid 3 times before I give up so one more try, this time I will do as you say and leave it alone. I hope the saying that "the third time is a charm" is correct, has not worked out every time!
