WOW that is a lot of blooms, glad someone had at least 1 Dendrobium to bloom this well this year!
How interesting ; transparens blooms basically white for me . Now I have observed with other species - specifically D. kingianum, that kept warm in the winter ( it is all relative - warm means 13-14 night here ) one of my plants blooms pink , and if I put it outside in a cold frame, and let it go down to 6, it blooms white. I wonder if transparens is in the same category ?
Interesting observation Geoff. Thanks for the input. I have not seen such a behavior of transparens. I have seen a pictures of transparens in-situ from Himalayan range recently and seem like the regular color. Would love to see the picture of transparens you have
Fabulous and also on my wish list. I do volunteer work at a local botanical garden. We have one of these but it is much darker. Regarding Geoff's observation of the colour change in the kingianum. I bought a white one two years ago. When it flowered this year (didn't last) it was pink.
