    Smile Neofinetia falcata Pink

I bought this in January 2016. Sold as a pink species Neofinetia falcata or Vanda falcata, if you prefer.

Has a strong scent in the afternoon. I can't quite describe it though.

Adore the color on this Neo. Last year I purchased many of these, in various leaf types. The first to produce a bloom stem blasted. Now I have a Neo. falcata var Amani in bloom and another producing a bloom stem. These little vandas are interesting, a plus is the fragrance of the blooms. I will post photos when I have more time.

I am up to 11 or 12 Neo's of different colors (root colors and flower colors). I also have a couple different leaf styles and colorings.

    Harvey:
I "only" have nine Neo's: Some minis, different colors, only one red root (which was startling when I first saw it!), one colored leaf type. I grow them on my kitchen counter under a T5 flourscent tube, which I think is a daylight. They are growing well, roots shooting all over the place. It will be a challenge at the end of their growing season to get the roots covered again, the majority of them are potted Japanese style.

Mine grow during the indoor growing season (in Colorado- September to June) under T5's as well. Very soon they will move outside for the summer. I hope to get the shade cloth hung this weekend.

I only try to cover new roots in the air when I re-pot in the spring. I water them by dunking in a bucket of water.
