    Default NOID Yellow Mini Catt

I wish I knew the name of this one. One of my favorite mini's. The pseudobulb and leaf combined are only 4-5 inches tall and this is the third blooming since last July. There is another growth coming in so maybe it'll turn out to be four. Always only two flowers though.

Odds are this is C. (Sc.) Beaufort (coccinea x luteola), the little Cattleya that could. More than any other cross it accounts for much of the popularity of mini-Catts, and most of the productive yellows especially come from it. It could be one of Beaufort's hundreds of progeny, there is no way to be sure, but this looks like a very typical good Beaufort, and you obviously grow it well. One of those over-achieving weeds that really rewards good culture and should be on everybody's list.

Lovely, clear yellow. I like it and would grow it name or not.
