Here's a Catt that opened up this morning.
The petals stays mostly green but tends to turn yellowish as it ages.
The fragrance is wonderful.
This cutting came from a neighbors yard where she just throws orchids in a planter area by her driveway. She doesn't even bother to cover them. When she's done enjoying her orchids and thinks that they're beyond saving. She takes them out of the pot and throws them in this area.
Sometimes they survive and sometimes they don't. This one did and grew pretty large, and this is a division from it.
A great save, love the green color.
Like that green!
Pretty! Must be interesting to have a neighbor also into orchids although not sure about throwing them in the little area.
Lovely color on this one. So sad to see them being thrown like. May be you can talk to her to hand it over to you
But then again this is KAUAI where it rains almost daily (that's why it's called the Garden Island) in the mornings which are keeping some of the dumped orchids from completely drying out and dying. .. and because of the rains, some are growing. LOL!
wow ...lovely you done a good job congrats.
