    Default Blc-Goodnews

    Things are blooming ... yay!

This cattleya which was pictured earlier with buds has now bloomed.

It's called 'Goodnews' The bad news is this is one of the first orchids I purchased.
I had three of them and without the knowledge that I have now lost two of them.

This is the only ONE left and it's a hard to find, at least here in Hawaii. When I do find one in the mainland (Continental U.S.), most can't ship here because of restrictions.

Thanks JD, wasn't it you that posted a picture of a Toshi Aoki Starburst once? I have both the Starburst and the original pizzaz. Pizzaz is my favorite orchid in which I've lost a couple when I first came to Hawaii, but have since replaced. So now I have about 3 starburst and 3 Pizzaz. One of the pizzaz is blooming. Will post when it opens. Hard to find here in Hawaii. The last time I saw a blooming one was on EB and it sold for $80.00 auction. Ouch.

Yes I posted mine last June, unfortunately it did not re-bloom for me this year, but I did repot in May so that could be why. I got mine from a Hawaiian nursery years ago.

Beautiful! I have one coming into bloom now that up until March I had three of. Sold the other two at our local show and regret it now. This will be the third flowering since March of '15.

Ouch! They're really hard to find. So before you sell another orchid, look for it in the internet because it may not be all that available. Some of the old orchids are getting rare and really difficult to find. For Example: Golden Star, Dora Louise Capen and David Dolge. Lesson learned ...LOL
