Don't think I've posted a plant that I have not flowered myself before but going to make an exception. I was in a local garden center that sells a few orchids, mostly Phal's but they get others as well. I saw a tray of this Den. and was going to pass it by (already have one) but this really stood out because the flowers were almost twice the size of any of the others. Had to have it. They are 1 1/4" x 1 1/8". The PB colour is also a lot darker than the others. They had very little red pigment. Don't know if it got better light than the the rest of the tray but hopefully I can get it to bloom again and find out.
Chris, you are going to love this orchid. I first saw this here on OT when Sriram posted his that was in bloom, I looked for a couple of days to find someone who had them no matter the cost, luckily I found one that was not that expensive and a good size in a 4 inch pot. I got mine in April and I was taking pictures and posting on OT of blooms on May 31st and it is still in bloom today! Sriram told me they last a long time and as usual he was right, THANKS Sriram!
This is definitely on my list after I saw Jacks post and now yours as well. I just love it! My two favorite colors! Enjoy it Chris!
A very fine specimen
Definitely one I plan to buy. Dont believe I have seen this before. Do you grow any special way?
