    Default Cattleya: Unkn-2

One thing I've learned living here is that people DON'T care what something is called as long as it's pretty. Here's another one I received from a neighbor a couple of years back that has no tag. They had a large overgrown one that I had to divide in exchange for getting one of the divisions.

So, if anyone can identify, it would be better than calling it a "purple surprise". LOL!

Flowers grow in clusters! Mahalo in advance.

Nice! Can't tell where one flower ends and the next begins though.

Ray would go crazy here looking at the tags on my 100+ orchids in which a lot has no tags. Errr, they do but most say UNKN. LOL!
About 99% of all my Dens were allocated and or given to me and therefore has no names. My Cattleyas are a bit better and only 5% are missing tags.

I may soon have more because when my ex and I got divorced, we split our collection of orchids (mostly Catts). But she hasn't been taking care of them, nor has she seen them in 5 years.

They're at the bottom of the hill at the back of the house (under trees) where it slopes down and it's slick. My son says that she Never goes down there any more and doesn't know if any of them are still alive. But he will bring me what ever remains ... if ... any!

    Nice!

I am still trying to grow my first Catt buds at home. I have 3 Catts and 2 Epicatts there. One of the Epi's my have a sheath or 2. But my other Catts at home just don't get enough light. My other Catts live at our local orchid GH in Louisville Colorado, where I rent a small table space.
