I see that I posted pics of this plant in February this year, when the taller cane seen here was still growing. As you can see it has now dropped its leaves ( normal) and flowered. The older cane which flowered in January is again flowering, and I note that there are far more flowers per spray than at the last flowering. A new growth can be seen by those with optimistic eyes ( it's is about 3mm high so far ).
I’dd like to see a lot more canes, and all flowering - ha-ha - who wouldn’t say that about any orchid - but many of my dendrobiums are remarkably free with new growths , so much so that I am thinking of specialising in them even more than I do now . Still, the plant is doing OK. I wonder if it is normal to flower twice a year, or is this just whilst settling into my possession and routines ?

Beautiful! I've found a lot of Den. are prolific this year. I have a lindleyi that had 5 new pb in April, 3 more in June and two days ago I noticed two more coming in. Normally only gets 4-5 a year. A nobile type, Spring Doll 'Sweetheart' in a 6" pot has produced 9. I'd love to find a topaziacum.
