    Default Cattleya Coccispirit

A 1st flowering seedling out of a flask I bought some time back. Not the fastest of growers or ready flowerers. Quite slow actually.
This has good colour & large lip but that's all. Need to flower it again. (hopefully)

The color is just unbelievably intense so please keep it Roy. I know what you are saying though. I had a Coelogyne speciosa that produced a huge flower on a giant plant once a year. The plant kept growing and growing - it drove me crazy. I finally sold it on a yard sale.

I can see it might not be everything you'd hope for, but the color holds nothing back, and considering the C. coccinea heavy breeding that lip is incredibly large. It could be larger flatter fuller on a bigger mature plant, but if it is a reluctant grower that might not happen. Maybe you'll see better from others in the flask, or they might perform better if you can tweak conditions to coax more vigor. Still, I think many growers would be quite happy with this.

The colour & lip are exceptional for such a small flower. It is one of those plants you would have to see again. I've flowered plants in the past that I've sold off too early (unless complete rubbish) that have turned out a lot better that I could have imagined. I'll probably make that mistake again but not with this one. Knowing my luck it will get worse hahaha.
