    Default Dendrobium densiflorum variety alboluteum

This plant is sometimes controversial ; some experts insist it is actually D.thyrsiflorum ( although other things have been suggested) . The usual or "type" densiflorum is all yellow, maybe two tones of yellow. D.thyrsiflorum is white and yellow likke this.
The two species are very similar, and obviously closely related, but the distinction is in the cross-secgtional shape of the canes. Holding a cane between the fingers and and rotating the hand around the cane, the two species feel distinctly different. So I am satisfied that the name shown above is correct.

My best flowering yet - have only had single sprays previously.

I don't know if it will grow as warm as Malaya, but then, Cameron Highlands would not be as warm KL.
I always find it astonishing that tropical orchids will grow well in England. My plant has temperatures down to single figures, degrees centrigafe, in winter, and a normal growing temperature about 25, daytime, today.

As Geoff said if you are in the highlands I think you can get this, it does need a cooling down time during the winter to spark buds in the spring.
