My first flowering of this hybrid from the well-known CTT Chocolate Drop. Two growths this year, both a good couple of inches taller than the best previous ones, and both with spikes - the second has some buds visible in the sheath. When ( or maybe if) they are a bit bigger, I'll split the sheath to9 let them escape as I did here.

The name suggest a good perfume - it is rather faint at night apparently, maybe better tomorrow in daylight, or when the flowers are a week old .

Very Nice! I have one that is nearly identical called Ctt. Bactia 'Grape Wax'. I'm always worrying about the yellowish leaves but I guess there is no need.
