Made it through another year and would have looked great on a display table but the next show in my area isn't until mid February. We only had 1 Cattleya in bloom for our display table at the last show we did in October. There have been 21 in bloom since then with 12 being open at one point. Ain't it the way!

That is a nice one Chris!
Wow! That's beautiful Chris! And really, can't there be a show every weekend?
A cracker of a Dend this one. Only have a small plant but it's doing well.
You've done very well with this one Chris.
Wow!!...Lovely species. Should look for one but these are hard to come by this side of the world.
I have two examples of this species - neither flowered yet , but they have canes of a quite different shape. One of them, the canes are thicker than my thumb ( I have big hands) , absolutely straight sided, and so far about 15 inches high. Not spindle shaped like yours, at all. Quite a big chap for the sort of grow room you have Chris . Whether not is true to name, is a case of wait and see...
The pb's on this one are about 1 1/2" at their widest and about 10" long excluding the leaves. It will get larger though. Odd that your's are not spindle shaped Geoff.
Until itflowers, and one can compare them with pictures etc, e.g. In IOSPE, the name on the tag is merely a maybe !
