This appears to be the first flowering of what is almost certainly a meristem propagated plant ( which is the kind of cattleya I buy, apart from species ), and from the compost and roots I can tell it is one I have had for somewhere between 18 and 24 months - most probably came from one of the three South American orchid dealers from whom I buy, usually twice a year, when they visit the European orchid shows, and send my plants from there to me by post, thus avoiding the horrendous UK CITES fees, but being perfectly legal - that is at present - after Brexit, then who knows....
But the only record of my orders is by e-mail, and my server keeps them for only 3 months, as does my Mac ( too many e-mails in the world to keep more - or maybe just too many e-mails in the world anyway !).
I do keep a record of purchases, and recently went through all my cattleyas applying numbered labels to the pots and the record, and ended up with a dozen or so names on the record where I did not find plants, and a similar number of plants with no name tag. But these flowers here do not appear to be any of those missing ones.

Can anyone help with suggestions ? I have Orchidwiz, which has illustrations of most, even of many clones too, so can check out anything thought possible.

Btw, the flower size is 5 inch, and the flowers opened only today. So they may get darker,( or greener ? ) and a more established plant may get more, or bigger flowers too ; in the meantime, these will do me very nicely indeed, thank you.

Thank you Roy. I do have that name on my database, and I found tht plant , or a plant with that tag and plant number- a rather smaller plant not quite up to FS. So (1) that tag has got into the wrong pot - which merely kicks the can down the road , like - what is in that other pot, with the wrong tag ?. Or, (2) maybe I have 2 plants of this grex, having fallen in love with the pic and ordered, forgetting I already had it - quite possible, not to say probable - I once ended up with 4 plants of the same wall shrub, having seen it at shows, ordered it and planted, and then waited a couple of years for flowers, and by the time they came, all the others flowered too..
So I have put in a tag saying, probably... and wait events with the other one.
    Thank you, Roy.
