Actually the same lady threw out a perfectly good but overgrown Den that I retrieved from the trash and dragged home. I divided and repotted it and it is looking good, I even have new growth. She had 4 Catts that I rescued.

Sweet! 4 bargains and a dend with no charge although you had to rummage through the trash can to get to it! Molly, you ARE a certified ADDICT!!!!
So you can handle Dends, huh, great!!! Most ladies of this forum don't like dends too much. BTW, do you have the name for this rescued cat(t)? I think it migh be one of those Blc. Memoria Helen Brown clones?

Hoa, Thanks for the ID No the lady didn't have any names for me the best that she could do was say that they were purple, white and green. So she needed to get rid of her orchids and move to PA. I hope that I can do better for them.

I've got 3 whole dens now! And if I lived where it was as humid as it is where Molly lives, I could probably even keep them alive and blooming. maybe It's a bit tough when we get long periods of humidity of 20 or less.... and the inside is reserved for the important plants! (Catts, Paphs, Phrags, Phals, Onc, Psy, and AVs)

Really nice Molly - I would love to grow them, but Diane + Den = Death!

That's a good show, Cin! BTW, I think you are doing better with the old lady's orchids already! Congrats!
Dends are not that difficult, especially the ones showing in Cin's picture! What Diane said is true, if we live in a more humid and warmer places like South Florida, it would be easier to keep these dendrobiums and bloom them. (And Diane would have no problem doing so!!! Psy or paphs or phrags are much more difficult, I say!) It is a matter of knowing your plants.
BTW, Julie you are having too much fun today, aren't you? Some Scotch for dinner, I guess? Hehhehehe!
    Cheers. Hoa.
