Wow, it looks scary--like an alien or something. Very Cool!
Cheers!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

I have such a crazy obsession with this orchid lol, I've hunted them down to only find one that my local greenhouse was generous enough to give me. Since, it has shot out 2 new growth but seems as though it isn't flourishing. Any tips? I can grow EVERYTHiNG else lol.

Is it potted or mounted? I would suggest mounting it, cause it will quickly outgrow a pot. If it is potted, of course you want a medium with really sharp drainage. It likes bright light, good air movement, and year round watering. No rest period for this Dendrobium... If it's mounted you can water it more frequently w/o worry.

Looks like the Klingon D5-class de-cloaking doesn't it? Really nice bloom!

jfrizz743,
It's potted in a wooden basket with bark/coconut/perlite, charcoal, and sphag with great drainage. I got the plant in not the best of shape. It is growing new growth but very slow-thrips (never had a problem before this orchid) ate up the new leaves arising from the top of the new growths and so I thought the plant was a goner. It is still growing from the top so that is good. I'll continue to keep it moist in good light and increase the humidity. Thanks a lot
