    Default Rhynchostylis gigantea 'Red'

A plant I have had for a few years and obviously a super slow grower, at least for me.
Highly fragrant and I believe this variety would be referred to as the "merlot type".

Very nice colour & form. One I struggle with because of the lack of heat in Winter. This looks like it could be in a little too much light & I've learnt quickly that these love Water.... Depending on your humidity levels, as per the Aerides, I potted the few of these Rhyncs I have into pots where I can keep up the moisture around the roots. They have kicked of a lot better & plants starting to look great. Maybe something to look at.

Roy- it's under an automated misting system. Runs for 10 minutes 1-2X/day so water shouldn't be an issue.
You might be right about the light though. It's been in the high front row so maybe I'll move it down and to the back to cut the light and see what happens.
Come to think.......that's where my retusa is and it's doing great. Why weren't they together?....duh!
