    Default Dendrobium spectibile

This was given to me last summer, the person who had it needed to make room in his greenhouse as it was getting too big for him, the largest cane is close to 4 feet tall, thankfully having 10 foot high greenhouse I have room for it, will need to put into a larger basket after it blooms, a total of 4 spikes.

I think this is a good colour for the species ; the ones I can remember seeing before seem a bit washed out in comparison.

But I do wonder what kind of pollinator is turned on by this !

Very nice and yes the color is great! I've had one about 2-3 years but hasn't bloomed for me yet. About to give up on it. It's not a very healthy looking plant. Your looks really nice. Enjoy!

It certainly looks different, both with the shape and colors but I do like it.

Thanks Sheryl, I understand they have to be mature to start to bloom.

Jack this creepy creatures looks so fabulous and the rich darker color is amazing now I can see the Dendrobium species can tolerate very well in your atmosphere and high time for you to collect selected clone.

Thanks Zain, I do pick up a dendrobium from time to time to add to my collection but they have to be special like this one.

Those temps are what we are getting now, after next month we won't see temps below 70 till late fall with highs in the 80's-90's with high humidity!
