    Nice little flowers, these ( joke)- actually 16cm natural spread ( 6 ˝ inches) and would be bigger if it were not that the two could be a bit further apart. Looks like a laster, too - flowers have been open for a couple of weeks already and no sign of fading or anything.

    Bred and registered by someone in Japan - I would not have guessed that ! At least 11 cattleya species in the history, and , as you might expect , quite a few famous hybrid names. Is itself a parent, but only first generation hybrids so far, 18 grex' registered, but i can't say I have heard of any of them.
