Beautiful tibicinis wecan. It almost looks like it could be an exaltata. I have one that looks like it is a natural hybrid between tibicinis and exaltata which is sort of what yours looks like.

The exaltata flowers are primarily purple, or different shades of purple all the way through the flower. Thompsoniana flowers vary from yellow to white with yellow and they have purple to pink on the end of the lip. Albopurpurea and thompsoniana flowers look almost exactly the same, but they differ in where they come from, and growth habits. Also the two differ in the size of their psuedobulbs. If you check out this link http://www.orchidspecies.com/indexme.htm you can look under myrmecophila or schomburgkia and you can look up the different types of schombs. This link will help, but there are so many different varieties in the flowers themselves that some times it's hard to distinguish what's what. I have already posted a thread titled exaltata which has a picture of that flower, so you can see it. If you have pictures of your other schombs flowers please post them, and I will do my best to help you identify them.

Aaron, I can't help but keep coming back to this thread. The Schomburgkia Tibicinis you pictured in the opening post is the most beautiful flower I've ever seen. That particular shape and color combination is almost hypnotizing to me. I know very little about orchids and nothing about schombs, except I understand now why you like them so much. Is there a lot of variety in the flower colors of this tibicinis, too? May I ask how you grow and care for this particular one?
Also, how is your schomb splendida progressing?

    Tami

Wecan, yours are also very beautiful!

At least it's happy! You should see spikes starting in between Feb and April. Sometime from spring to late spring. That plant was large so you should deffinently see spikes next year. The best part though.... Next year, at this time that plant will be about twice the size! For some reason schombs LOVE to be mounted on palm trees. I think it has something to do with the smooth surface.
