    Default Dend. Lovely Elizabeth 'Lou'

Lovely Elizabeth is a primary cross between Dend. violaceum x Dend. pseudoglomeratum, both native to New Guinea. It's a compact grower, this mature plant only 12" tall from the base of the mount. The blooms last for 3-4 months.

I picked up this lovely from Darrin last week. The plant didn't care much for the ride home. The hanger was poked into the top of my box of plants so it would stay upright without risk to the flowers. But the vibrations must have just rattled the poor thing. When I got home the long cane was limp, lying horizontally. I was terrified that it had partially broken, but I tied it up to the mount with some fishing line, and the flowers are all fine - so no break!

Thanks! The bare stick with the roots was beautiful in a minimalist way. But I knew it wouldn't last here. This was the first plant I wrapped in moss the other day. I think I found my swing by the second or third. The stick looks a bit ewokky.
