    Default Vascostylis Viboon Velvet "Perfection"

Just remember, I'm *not* a professional photographer. These photos were taken under different lighting conditions. The colors of the first photo are truer to what I see for the lip color. I tried adjusting the second photo in various programs, but I couldn't get the lip color right without washing out the detail.

    Very nice, Richard!

I don't have the humidity to grow that fellow, but he looks happy under your care!

Sweet flower. How do you grow these in Nebraska? Do you have a greenhouse? And welcome to orchidtalk.

    Thanks all!

I alternate between outdoor culture during the summer and a growing area in the fall/winter/spring. Last year the growing area was up in the kitchen, south window (long eaves so little direct sun even in the winter), plus fluorescents. This year I have 2 growing areas in the basement, both are plastic wrapped with fluorescent lights, but one with the majority of orchids has the humidifier and fans. The smaller one uses humidity trays and I haven't got the fan installed in there yet - I'm using it for non-orchid house plants, some cattleya types, and my dendrobiums that need a dry winter rest
