    These are no where near 12 inches tall . Then there are the compact Catts . they have an upright growth with the distance between growths close together .
    Tell ya what i will measure the 2 in the photo and post back here can't do it right now, have a Cockatiel on my shoulder . Gin

    Great flowers, Gin. I like the Gypsy variety of Momilani than the other variety. Great growing!!

    Thanks Kev Glad you like it .
    Idaho wanted to know the size of the plant . I measured them, the Mini Purple is about 5 1/2 inches from the mix to a leaf tip , it has 2 flowers now, the first one is still hanging on . Mini Purple does do not have a pleasent scent . the Gypsy is approx. 11 inches tall .. Gin

    Thanks Gin. The smaller one is what I was expecting when I got this one.

    I guess the flowers come from the leaf axils, right? I have a nice fast growing growth from the base and I am guessing that is a new psudobulb.

    I have a couple of standard catts that are pushing 30" tall. They don't fit in any of my growing areas. My Mini Purple is about to bloom - it is only about 6" tall, but thats because it grows kinda of laterally and I don't stake the pbulbs up. It's probably close to 9" if it were upright.

    I bought Momilani Rainbow 'Gypsy' this spring. Hasn't bloomed yet but it is suppose to be a splash-petal as Diane mentioned.

    Thanks for looking the first flower on the Mini Purple is still hanging on looks fresh, Long lasting little thing .
