Default Laelia Rubescens Alba x L Rubescens Aurea

I found this little guy today, and of course it had to come home with me. I haven't seen this particular cross before, and it has a 2 foot long spike. All the more reason to adopt it and make it my own!

I know right! To me there is just something impressive about seeing flowers held so far away from the plant. It's almost like the plant is offering up the flowers. I don't know!? To each their own I rekon

Cool. Did it have many blooms on the spike? I like the dark center.

    Cheers,

I have a L Rubescens x b. nodosa in double spike, I have not seen it bloom before - hope the flowers are as lovely as these and as fragrant as a nodosa. The plant is small, but the one spike is about 16" so far.
