Smile Here is my Laelia anceps

No ID, but I am fairly sure it is Laelia anceps. I know there several posts of much more impressive Laelias, but I had to post it because I wanted to share the few flowers I get.

I got it 7 years ago as a small division. It is one of the most tolerant orchids I have. Needs a lot of sun and likes to dry out between watering. I take it outside in the Summer. With all of the pest problems I had, this one never seemed to get any. I just wish that it would have more than one flower at the time. Hoa posted a picture of the same Laelia anseps with multiple flowers per spike. I think I will hang the picture of Hoa's flowers, so my plant can learn from example.

It's a beauty! I think you need a greenhouse to get the multiple stems Hoa showed. I'm happy to get single spikes on my orchids, let alone multiple!

Lovely ancep that you have there, Ania!

If you want more blooms, well, more light and fertilizer! These orchids love that. And thanks for refering to my previous post!

    Cheers. Hoa.
