    Default Schomb Undulata (Red Form)

This is a red form undulata that I have had for a while now. It's a welcomed change from the normal brownish color. There is only one flower on the spike that is normal, the rest are peloric. Pretty cool! The pictures of the peloric flowers aren't all that great, and I will shoot some different pics to update tomorrow. The spike is about 5 feet to the top. Enjoy

That is so cool! I love really big orchids! The fact that one is in your bath just makes me smile. LOL! Great color - I love its darkness.

LOL, Aaron, I think most Schombs look peloric! But Bruce is right - the deep maroon and purple color is gorgeous!

Either that's one really scary keiki growing off your Schomb having grown its own basket to boot! or you have plants taking over your bathroom...

I have to call a limit somewhere. They may use the facilities, but they may not take up residence in them!

Thanks all! The tag says color form 2 out of 3. 1 is the normal, and 3 is more of a fire engine red. #3 is in spike at the GH, and so is #1. I am hoping to make it there tomorow, and maybe I will be lucky enough to see some blooms. As for the whole bathroom thing.... Well ahh... My plants have been strong arming me lately! No... it just got cold last night, and I am more worried about the ones in spike then the others. The others got a blanket, and the spiked ones got special treatment in our guest bath; I mean their personal bath! Trust me McJ.... If they all came in then we would be living in the car! REALLY!

As far as I know it has always had peloric flowers on it. Ussually it will only get one or two regular flowers on it. It's different. I can't complain! I also have a tibicinis that has peloric flowers, pretty wierd! Got to love the oddballs I am hoping that I can get some better pictures tomorrow when I bring it outside.
