Hey, welcome back! Good to see your orchids are very happy! I love that blue and white spotted Rhy. How is your new artist space (your yard) coming along?

Cin, yellow trumpet is doing great, but I'm sure it would like to be in the ground. But I'm going to wait until it gets a bit warmer, nights still get down in the 50's around here.
The "orchid tent" is temporary, just a place to keep them out of direct sun & frost (there was ice on the automobiles the other morning), but it does the job & they're surviving. I'll post pics when we get the permanent stucture done.
In answer to other questions, I live just 3 miles east of the city of Okeechobee & we love it!! We bought the lot behind us (hereafter called the "back lot") & planted areca & fishtail palms, mainly to grow a blockade against neighbors' floodlights. We like sitting out on the patio enjoying the night sky, but the neighbors' floodlights ruin it. We wanted to get away from city lights & they seem to fear the dark, guess they can't shed the city mentality.
The hubby wants to keep the backyard "open", so I have free rein on the back lot & I've planted some elephant ears, mother-in-law tongues, yucca, corn plants, pine tree seedlings, coconut palms & plumeria. I also planted a Meyer's lemon tree in the front yard. I'll plant more in the spring when I have more time & rain.
    Again, thanks ya'll!!!!!
