Slc Pink Doll 'Garnet Sea' AM/AOS x Pot Odoms Sweetheart 'Alii'

This is the orchid I want to name after my mother if I can find the person that made the cross.

If anyone has any info on how to perform the search I would love to hear from you.

    Sorry..I can't help.

I just wanted to comment on the beauty of the blooms and how it would make a fitting mother's day gift

Is there a story behind this particular orchid since you would like to name after your mother?
Did you consider creating an entirely new cross in her honor?

In any case it's a wonderfull thought!

No significance other than it bloomed on the day of her passing. I think that might have more immediate meaning than waiting 5+ years for a new cross to bloom. Of course it could take quite a bit of time figuring out the originator.

While driving back to CA (where I am now) I did think to start with the person from whom I puirchased the plant as a start!!!

It would be a fabulous memorial! You are a very thoughtful son. If I was your mum I would be looking down at you with pride, Judi

Thank you Judy, I am sure she is.

I have sent a message to the person I purchased the plant from.

Does anyone know what a Slc x Pot is called?
