    Default Epidendrum ciliare

This beautiful orchid was one of several that members from my society brought in for judging today during our May orchid society meeting. I thought the lip on this one was fascinating. Enjoy!

    Default LOVE IT!

I love that hairy "beard" and the graceful scythe-like shape of the petals. This one has to smell good!

Nice orchid species, Sometimes you can encounter this orchid species in local orchid and garden show in the Philippines I have bought some potted orchids in 2009 and tried to mount them in our palm in 2012 , the orchid had almost encircled the palm but i have still have to wait for the Epidendrum ciliare to bloom . But i think the orchid is doing quite well !!!
