This is an old standby bloomer. It blooms regularly and never disappoints. I have photographed it many times, but this time I decided to just snap some natural light shots of it in the GH. I wanted to show just how large the blooms on this monster were, so I thought you might be able to tell scale by my hand in the photo. I am 6'3" and I have big hands and these three blooms dwarf my hand. I think this might be one of my favorite cattleya hybrids. Enjoy!

very nice floof!
I am such a sucker for floof "the size of my head".
You're 6'3"! I would have never guessed it!
Crikey, that's huge! Very nice Catt
My favorite 3 B's Big, Bold and Beautiful !!!!!
So very lovely--and huge!
Check your PMs--I did finally reply after my long absence.
Those are take 'home to mother' lovely. Photos in natural light are my favorite.
It's size comes from C. warscewiczii, which it's 41%. That's the largest Catt species. This is a complex hybrid, but not too many generations old, which is why it retains quite a bit of Catt species influence. Mossiae is 34%, Trianae is 13%, and there's a smattering of C. dowiana and L. tenebrosa.
Gorgeous! I'll bet it's fragrant too. I'm starting to develop quite a fondness for the Cattleya, esp. the floofies...My collection has one nice one so far....so little time, so many beautiful orchids!
