Default bit disappointing but still rather cute

    Lc Haw Yuan Angel.

Bought this not in bud at a show over Memorial Day weekend. Rather disappointed that the lip won't unfurl completely. It's not a first bloom so I expect that what I see is what I'll continue to get. *bummer* The roots weren't in great shape when I got it. starting to get some new ones.

On the plus side, this is a true mini [plant is about 4" tall], the flower is large for the size of the plant, and the color is pretty nice IMO. It is presently in a deep 2" pot. I usually go only for plants in bloom or clones so I know what I'm getting but the price was right -- $10

She's trying. I'm sure she'll do you right. Lovey colors. Of course if you are really disappointed, I have room!

That is disappointing. I suppose there is always the possibility that some unknown factor caused this to happen to this particular bud/flower and thus it is a one-time thing, but you won't know for sure until it blooms again. The colors are indeed pretty, and I am always a fan of miniatures. Good luck with this one.

I find that often when I get plants in bud from a vendor the first blooms are distorted because they have been subjected to so much handling during development. They have all gone on to produce fine blooms on the next spikes, except for one that found it's way to Clints home for peloric orchids...

Very nice, what a pristine white color! Give it some time!
