    Default Lctna Renate 'S&W'

    Soon to be on her way to her new home in Texas.



    Flowers were a bit darker this time. This is one of those plants for whom the amount/intensity of light received while in bud affects the color of the flowers. More light, darker flowers.

    Nice bloom. I didn't know catts came in mottled leaves.

    No mottled leaves like that. They are probably spots from some secondary fungal infection (which is not harmful to the plant)..kinda like oncids, ya know..

    Some catts are more prone to this than others. I think those with a C. aclandiae background tend to have spotty leaves.

    Actually, doubtful that it is fungal in this case -- the spotting is purplish in color ... high light seems to bring them out. Either way, as Clint mention, the spotting has never caused the plant any trouble.

    Sorry, Ischel, the kind lady who won this one on Orchid Bids would be displeased, I think, if its travel plans changed. But you can always keep your eyes on Orchid Bids ... ya never know when another division may find its way there.
