    Default Vandanopsis Mecca's Candy Sweet

This pretty little fella just opened up the other day. Cute little flower, and very odd looking plant. It also has a very nice sweet smell to it. Enjoy

Nice flower! I bet these terete type vandas do very well in Florida. You could probably use them as landscaping plants like V. Miss Joachim.

This one can't take quite as much sun as the Miss Joachim, but I have a few friends who do use them as landscape plants. Those and the Arachnis do very well around here. By the way I haven't forgotten about you Clint!! I just havent had a chance to make it to the post office

Ah! I can see why they can't take as much sun.

This creature is now a Paravanda and consists of Paraphalaenopsis laycockii x Vanda teres. The Paraphal mother must reduce the light requirements.

(I have a pararenanthera that I can bloom in medium catt light!)

I saw these plants offered at a well known vendor...I just might have to pick one up soon.

I love the lip on that one. Orange with spots...too pretty! I don't do vandas, they are too needy for my front porch, but I still love the unique shapes and colors they come in.

The foliage is a bit strange, the blooms are very nice.
