This plant originally belonged to my mother in law but decided to give it to me due to lack of time for orchids.
I did not want to divide it initially because it was putting out so many flowers. But I thought that this plant will exhaust itself to death if I dont address the overcrowded situation.
The interior of the pot was completely filled up with dead roots. There was no orchid bark left as this plant was never repotted in the 10+ years that she had the plant.
The only viable roots were the ones that were sticking to the outside surface of the pot.

I think that explains the severe sunburn on the leaves despite adequate shading.
The plant had very few active roots to take in water and could not compensate for the sun exposure so it started burning.

And to add a little sad part to the story. I was supposed to rescue two of these orchids. But I decided to try just one first so in case I mess up I dont end up killing two plants.
And if the rescue works, I will come back for the second plant.

However, it appears I was too late to pick up the second plant as it was practically dead when I came back for it. The pseudobulbs have wrinkled beyond recognition and more than half the leaves have fallen off.
This one had no viable roots whatsoever. Everything had rotten away.
I am now trying to revive it but it would be an uphill effort.

Here is a picture of the other one when it was originally offered to me:

This is what was left of the plant now after a very late rescue attempt. Just the one in the green pot and the two pots behind it. The three other pots on the left are from a different plant which were also rescues.

That garden used to be awesome. But now it is in dire condition and suffering severe neglect.

Maybe it will make it. Here's hoping it does anyway.

    More buds have opened up

Here's the first flower now. It is now much closer to "true white" compared to when it first opened and had a greenish tint. The lip also has become noticeably more floofy. The only color that remains is the faint yellow blush - a characteristic of this cultivar.

Here's the rest of its division siblings. It looks like I am in luck, all the other pseudobulbs have produced 2 or more viable flowers. Only the very first pseudobulb blasted 3 buds.

    Close up of the cluster:

The flowers have a very faint, but pleasant fragrance. Like a very light ladies perfume, but without the edge.

And here's the kicker: Since these are relatively large plants (even after dividing), new pseudobulbs are still continuing to grow. You can see some of the new growths in the third picture above.
I am getting probably 2 or 3 new leads per plant every month since I originally divided. Some of the maturing leads are already in sheath as well.
So if everything works out well, these plants could be blooming well into December.
    *Crosses fingers*
