    Default C. Bactia update

All 9 flowers are open and it now has a fragrance.
I measured the p-bulb from the medium to the bottom of the leaves. It is 17" on this blooming growth.

    Beautiful.
But I wonder somehow if that cattleya has dreams of becoming a cane dendrobium
Some catts can get insanely tall.

the Catts with a strong guttata background do look a bit like the canes of a Dendrobium phalaenopsis. I have seen pics of a mature guttata that was taller than the person standing next to it.

Yeah, I have seen some of those pictures too.
I have some C. guttata species mounted on smallish driftwoods right now.
Maybe when these babies grow up I will need to remount them to logs lol.
