Vanda Tree ------------------------- Basment rack ----------------------------------- V.Su-Fun- Beauty

    V. Laura Bush--I have had this one for 2 1/2 years, first bloom.--------------V-Saksanran Gold, new purchase

The Vanda Tree - - is simply a coat rack but it works for displaying my plants----yes it is secure.

Basement rack - - is what I just put together myself (not very professional). The white behind it is a shower curtain hung on a curtain rod so I don't mist my wall.

Su-Fun Beauty - - is why I neded to build my rack to hang the plants. Long roots on that one. It is one of the new ones I bought at the GVOS show last weekend.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

    Thanks.

The men at the box store really gave me a hard time when I went in to buy the necessary pipe. They asked me to send in the....MAN ???....who would make it with the measurements. I already had made a drawing for the way I wanted it, it was in my hands, with the all my measurements written in. They looked at this old, grey haired lady, walking with a cane, and decided that I was also senile and helpless.

I was a bit angry with the men for thinking that. I bought my pipe, went home to put it together and then ran into one problem. I couldn't get the last piece in place. Feeling foolish, I called my son and said I can't believe that I am not capable of making that thing myself. He laughed, he knows how independent I am, "Mom you just need one thing, there is no way it will all fit together unless you put a joiner in that bottom support piece". Back to the box store, with a red face, I bought two small pieced of pipe, with a joiner, to replace the 10" one which wouldn't work for me. Went together like a breeze.

NOTE: Never understimate a little old grey haired lady in tennis shoes.....even if she walks with a cane.

Those vandas look very healthy and happy. Great job growing them indoors.
