    But this appears to be true of most dendrobes - I have just been moving some of mine where the 2018 cane is almost twice the height of any produced previously.

    DE and mealy bug battle

    A cheaper alternative is soapy water, and a soft artists paint brush. I occasionally find one or two in the top of the new growth on soft cane dendrites

    Nice little plants these - I have one myself. But I don't think any better than either of the parents, and wonder what the hybridist had in mind.
