    Thumbs up New dendrobium question

I recently purchased an Dendrobium Hollywood orchid that had one spike with several buds and two have recently flowered. When should I repot the orchid?

As long as the roots are in decent shape, leave it as is till it's done flowering.

may i ask why do you think that theres a need to repot at this stage? Although
I must admit, I tend to repot all of my newly acquired orchids just so that i
could take a good look at their roots.

It is a good 'rule of thumb' to repot all new orchids you bring into your collection into a medium that works well with the way you like to water your orchids. That said, if the plant is in bloom, it usually will not hurt to wait until the blooms are faded to repot. I would recommend repotting as soon as the blooms finish though. Remember too that dends like to be potted tightly in their pot with an airy medium that will dry quickly between waterings. Avoid over potting and too much water.

    Cheers,
    BD
