    UPDATE

I had to unpot and separate them as I had a snail infestation that ate most of the roots in the medium

I'm getting quite concerned about the spots and yellowing of the leaves that drop off after they become yellow. And each it yellowing one after the other has dropped.

I'm surprised that the buds were not effected and blast when I repotted it.

Is it normal for the dendrobium to do this as I have seen others in flower that have all their leaves intact.

Is it doing this because it is weak and it's putting all of it's energy into flowering???

It started doing this when it was in the pot with all the other canes but since I have seperated them only the two with flowers seem to be doing this.

Noblie dendrobiums are deciduous, as far as i know and will lose its leaves during the fall anyway.

Yes we are in our first month of spring, however we still have quite a chill at night so I take them inside every night. Is it silly for me to say they might be a little confused, maybe?? And shedding their leaves.

Maybe I might spray hydrogen peroxide 3% on them incase it's some sort of fungal infection.

But I see the starts of new growths on them so I wouldn't worry too much unless the new growths have the spots. As they mature, the nobile will attain naked canes that never re-grow leaves. But can flower.

This is my nobile at the end of my first growing season with it. Notice the bright green canes. they are the new ones. Also,, some naked canes are noticeable too. They are shorter. Since you have few canes, your naked canes will end up being taller. Mine will attain more naked canes as time passes.

Oh I see, my flowering canes must be the mature ones. And I have younger canes that are taller but have not flowered yet but are growing plenty of roots and they still have all their leaves.

I also see you have a couple of black spots exactly the same the spots I had before the leaves dropped off.

Thank you so much for all your help 78terp I feel more at ease now.

I'm so happy that I could get it to flower the first time it has been in my care. My mother in law has about 50 pots and none of hers have bloomed yet. I can't wait to see what the flowers look like, hopefully I can fund a name for her. I'll keep you updated

I guess the weather has warmed up and a few more days this little girl fully opened. She looks so gorgeous with a mild fragrance. I had no idea Dendrobiums were fragrant.
