Thank you! Wish you could smell it They say it's one of the easiest roses to grow. Hubby bought it for Valentine's day, he figured why buy roses that die in a week when she can have them all year long? Smart man!

Very smart man! And a beautiful rose to boot....your water gardens are gorgeous. Do you have to change the water often?? I've often considered putting one on the side of the house....but everything over there must be able to handle a certain amount of neglect. That corner of the house seems to be the last to get water or attention.

I love your container water gardens!! I have one, doesn't look that nice, and the neighbor's dog seems to think the floating plants are fun to extract and leave on the ground. *sigh*

Hey Val, great show! I need help with my desert Rose. Not doing nada. Have it about a year and I think it actually looks a little worse than when I got it. It's potted in potting soil and pine bark in a glazed ceramic pot with drainage in the bottom. I've tried it in full sun and the leaf tips burned. Then put it in shade and leaves fell off, then filtered sun and nothing happened. Using the same fertilizer as my orchids get. Help please.!

I tried growing one of those, Ishel, but it died over the winter. I put it inside, but it stil got too cold. Ours bloomed with water from the hose, grown on the deck in the shade of the other tropicals, and feed Osomocote slow release fertilizer. When we got ours it was originally planted in a bonsi pot with hard rocks. I potted it into a regular clay pot in potting soil and used bark from the green house. It bloomed on and off for two years before it got too cold and died. Good luck with yours.

    Cheers,
    BD

Psht... Typical northern hemisphere people. Check this tread in two months and I'll be able to show you people what aloes are REALLY supposed to look like.

And Val, those flowers are simply beautiful.

I don't change the water, I use mosquito dunks in one & the other has a little fountain in it, so the water circulates. I DO have to add water every other day because my dogs use them as water bowls...LOL! That's also the reason I don't have any duckweed left
