No-No Carrie! Do NOT use your brain. That leads to all kinds of things like IDEAS. Thoughts of BUYING MORE ORCHIDS,. Okay, so maybe that is a good thing.

Thanks y'all. I'll try to post more tomorrow. Was trying to post a link to one of my albums, but it didn't work. Just tell me when you've had enough and/or start to get bored.

Carrie, another thing that could help with camera shake is if your camera has a self timer, set up your shot and then use the timer. Just pushing the shutter will create some shake no matter what, but you can cut that by using the timer.

Thank you Anne I will look into if it has a timer function, I bought the camera 5 years ago for about £150 on sale and now the cameras for that price are so much more advanced but I needed one for my degree course and that was the best I could afford. If I win the lotto tonight a new camera will be on my list of things to buy!

This is probably one of the most technically correct shots I've ever done. I love the depth of field. Shot at Butterfly World here in Florida.

    Asian Brown Fish Owl.
It's actually a female, and her name is Hemmingway. She lives at the San Diego Wild Animal Park in California (one of my favorite places).

Green and Black Poison Dart Frog
This little one is no bigger than an inch (probably less). If you notice the tadpole on its back, that's how they transport the new babies to plants that hold water in their centers (Bromiliads), where they deposit them until the grow into new frogs. It gets its name because the poison it emits is what was used on the darts used in blow guns. Shot in Costa Rica.

    California Condor
Just about on the verge of extinction, these huge birds are making a comeback, thanks to the efforts of several research/conservation organizations, such as the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where this one was shot.

The last shot was very difficult, as the Condor was behind chicken wire, and the lighting was as harsh as any I've seen. Took a bit of editing to make it a better shot than it was.
