Jojo, what a wonderful travelogue of such a beautiful place. Your photography is really great, and gives such a sense of the place.

Thank you so much. I've said it before, but this type of thread goes so far in showing the rest of us, little corners of the world we might never get to see......... and it just serves to bring us all together.

    Thank you!!

Ok, Jojo, you have really done it now. The Philippines are most assuredly on my list. Next spring I am teaching a study abroad course entitled 'Ritualistic India, the Mind, Body and Soul' and will take a group of students to visit India. The year after that, I think it is going to have to be the Philippines. Your photos are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us. I am speechless....

    Cheers,
    BD

    hi jojo,
    yes, just suuuper!
finally more pix of landscapes, ive seen plenty of shots with those stone houses (love em) and i can see why its hard or maybe impossible to find orchids there, hmm maybe tiny ones in rocks or hidden valley's?
batanes is high on my travel list since many years, its like escaping philippines and see ireland, coz everything is soooo different then the rest of the philippines.

im glad you posted it and feel free to post more travel pix, i also mean everybody here.

I am glad that you found inspiration with my posts of Batanes and share with all of you the extreme beauty of that magical place. I hope someday, you may get the chance to visit that place and see the breath taking beauty, feel the tranquility, humbleness and the grandeur of Batanes and its people.

I am posting here some links for more information and as a resource for those of you planning to visit Batanes someday. These links are the very same links that I personally used in planning and making reservations for my trip over there.

This is the lodge where I stayed in and is the best equipped lodge in Batanes and the only one having wifi and internet access in Batanes. It ain't a cheap place though but they have the best and most beautiful facilities and amenities.

I plan to return to Batanes someday. I have fallen in love with the place and a part of me still longs for the idyllic beauty and quiet serenity of that place.
