Nice . I love African violets but those that I had seem to die off after a year or two, so I have stopped growing them.

Now here is an indoor flower that we have an abundance of. Our african violets just keep growing and we keep dividing them and then they do it again, so we divide again .......... We do get a white fuzzy fungus(?) on them from time to time. It doesn't travel to the orchids for some reason (thankfully).

Hmmm, I wonder why? I know, in my case, the dry winter air is often a huge problem (if I can get my humidity up to 33% I'm lucky). I do have a couple that have managed to survive, however.

That is one plant that screams in sheer horror if I pick it up at the nursery. I cannot grow these...they die one mushy icky leaf at a time. I cannot grow the average houseplant either. One amazing plant my mom had, I killed in two weeks. I can grow orchids though...go figure.

The one plant type I cannot grow is cactus. I like to futz with my plants too much I guess.

IME, Connie, av's are much more finicky than orchids (though I know folks who would disagree). My best success is growing them in terrariums. I had a standard that was about 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter in a terr before I pulled it out and sent it on to a new home.
