I was given a new camera for my birthday recently so I have been primping any of my plants currently in bloom for glamor shoots lately.

Here are some of my favorites:

A Nikon D3000 with two different lenses. The lense I used in these has a built-in stabilizer, which helps with this sort of shot. I'm a real beginner in this area!

Tripod and a couple backgrounds were part of the gift too though. I had just been starting to fool around with making my own backgrounds, etc. Guess my husband thought this would be a good way to keep me from simply buying more plants. :-))

Next stop is a friend's greenhouse as soon as I can get there. :-)

That's a very nice camera. Now you have another reason to buy more plants - to photoraph them! Saves you trouble of having to go to your friends' greenhouses.. hehehehe.

Yes, but that friend's greenhouse almost invariably comes with free divisions. *ulterior motive*

Last time it was all I could do not to come home with 20 plants and a bucket full of home-grown chicken dung fertilizer. Apparently it works wonders, but I draw the line at manure in the apartment. :-)
