WOW Rich!! Very nice shots. I have not uploaded mine from my camera yet, but it was so cloudy here, I suspect I have some very nice dark photos of nothing. hahah... Love the shots you took to share with us. Thank you Rich!

    Cheers,

Excellant, Rich! It was heavy cloud cover here at my folks' place so I didn't get to see it So thanks for the shots!

Btw, what type of lens and settings did you use? I've never been able to get any good moon shots.

Paul, I was using a Panasconic DMC-TZ5, the first shots were done in normal mode w/ -2 exposure(aperture) setting. The later shots, the mode was Night Scenery. I had to adjust the exposure setting to +2. This setting was using a eight sec. shutter speed. Of course all were on a tri-pod. This lens states its 28 mm - 280mm. In these modes I was able to zoom up to (67.5 X) But what I found out was that the moons movement was causing blurred shots with the 8 sec. shutter speed. So most of the shots that turned out better were zoomed in at (12X-24X) This also enabled to catch a few stars in the shots. I'm not a great photographer, I enjoy shooting photos. I would prefer to use my old film camera. But the digital is so much faster and lets you shot a lot more. I did shot 138 Pics, 80 were OK, of that 80 40 turn out good. I hope this helped. Thanks for the Kind Words, Rich

    Nice shots, Rich.

I watched it(from inside and outside). The whole event wasn't that exciting IMO and it was cold. Rich's photos are so much more enjoyable.

Great shots Rich ! Thanks for sharing. I watched it for half an hour but then I had to get to work and it was starting to get brighter here as the eclipse started at 7.30 in the morning.
