Default When I was in Florida

Last year I went to Redland orchid festival and I had to visit the Everglades. The tillandsia were incredible. A few pics.

The old Mohagony trees were covered.

Of course, what is a trip to Florida without seeing at least one native tropical orchids. Enc tampensis. Can you see the pseudobulbs?

That's really cool, Mike. I think it's amazing when you can see these things out in the wild.

One of the best things in life is seeing plants in situ!!! Did you have to trek much to get to these plants?

Love the flowers on that Tillandsia, it is so bright... and then pic with the row of them.. it's like someone arranged them on display.

    Great stuff!

    Thanks Mike.

    Cheers

Two of those pics were in the " Mahogany forest" which is a popular tourist attraction and the other was at another popular stop. I was surprised the orchid was not poached. I did marvel at all the Tillandsia. So many different types and many trees completely covered.
