I am lucky to have gardenless neighbors . I swap some to a man across the street for bell peppers , and another friend for squash , I did not plant either of them . Just planted tomatoes, leaf lettuce that is gone now ,cucumbers , green beans and watermelon . I cook and freeze some of them . Yours sure look good . Gin

Well it is almost done. We have 27 jars of tomatoes and 16 jars of hot cayenne peppers. The last batch are in the water-bath now... Only about 30 minutes to go. It was an all day chore. whew.

    Cheers!

The vines are loaded down. I picked another 17 large tomatoes today and there are several more that will be ready tomorrow. The pepper plants are out of control. I think we have all of them we are going to can though. Today we canned a brown grocery sack full of them. I took a photo of part of them, but it is still in the camera. I will post it later. Oh, and I will snap a shot of the finished jars too! Lou is getting the last jar out. We had one jar of peppers break so we had to redo it. But it is done now!

    Cheers!

Here are the canning photos. It doesn't look like much now, but those who know, know how much work it is! Enjoy!

    Cheers!

As a fellow Arkansan I'm forced to wonder if it was really necessary to use the turkery fryer?! The pond outside my window seems to be boiling...
