There's only ONE way to eat okra where I come from....that would be thinly sliced, dipped in yellow corn meal, and fried (in a little bit of oil, not deep fried)to a crisp. YUM! Crunchy, tasty and NO slime. The leftovers, if there ever are any, are good cold, too. Delish!
Goes great with pinto beans, cornbread, sliced tomatoes and green onions...and maybe some meatloaf or my mom's cabbage. Okay...gotta go wipe the drool now. lol
