    There's only ONE way to eat okra where I come from....that would be thinly sliced, dipped in yellow corn meal, and fried (in a little bit of oil, not deep fried)to a crisp. YUM! Crunchy, tasty and NO slime. The leftovers, if there ever are any, are good cold, too. Delish!

    Goes great with pinto beans, cornbread, sliced tomatoes and green onions...and maybe some meatloaf or my mom's cabbage. Okay...gotta go wipe the drool now. lol

    Lordy, I LOVE watermelon...and I'm the ONLY one in my family who does. Go figure. The drool is starting to short the keyboard...

    Wolf - SALT?? Never heard of salt on a watermelon.. Do you put sugar on your tomato?

    salt on watermelon or cantelope makes it almost seem sweeter. No I put lots of black pepper on tomato's... though I do put 1 Tbs of sugar in my sketti sauce when I make it from scratch. Best sandwich white bread, smeared with miracle whip, sliced tomatoe, black pepper! YUMMY
