    I've always had problems with gardenias that weren't grafted. Mine always end up dying a slow death because of root-knot nematode attacks.

    Hi Cathy,
    I belive the branches I got from my Mom were from a grafted Gardenia.
    Maybe if the branches are from a grafted Gardenia,than they too become resistant to nematodes.
    I think the big plant is one of the originals branches from my Mom,and the other 3 are branches from that original branch.
