Thanks for the extra pictures, Zainal. Since Kitty and you brought up the subject of Thai food, I agree that it's fantastic- but then I'm not entirely unbiased being part-Thai myself. There are so many variations to tom-yam but we in Malaysia seem to prefer the Southern Thai versions.

how long you stay in bangkok? i'm happy that you have a good time specially enjoy thai food.for "tom-yam" you can find ready paste in asian grocery store or even find the cooking material from the garden. my husband also enjoy thai food,he said he never afraid to eat food from the street because they always fresh cook to serve you.

your pictures remind me about traffic in bangkok, they always like that but at least we have sky train and sub-way. the high season for tourist between oct-jan (winter in thailand)....and welcome to thailand all of friends here.you can enjoy in many ways, shopping area, cultures, ocean, mountain and of course a lot of orchids.
Hi Kitty thanks for the explanation of Police General Hospital, well I was in Bangkok for 3 days only and you are right I'm tempting to buy many things everywhere you go you can see shopping complex but you must know how to bargain .

    .
Malaysians in the northern states here bordering Thailand, like our curries hot and spicy, not the mild stuff found in the cities but in the small towns and rural areas. My great grand-parents came from Phuket and Trang; my wife's people are from Bangkok and a lot of people here of Muslim ancestry have relatives in Satun, Petani and Narathiwat, so you see why we like the hot stuff from Southern Thailand. I think I may have to qualify my statement here by saying that most Malaysians from the north here prefer the hot and spicy Thai food of South Thailand.
